E18sw The subwoofer system shall incorporate a single 18-inch low frequency transducer with a 4 in (100 mm) voice coil, mounted in a ported enclosure. The subwoofer system shall have an effective and usable frequency range of 37 Hz to 230 Hz, defined by the -6 dB points in the frequency response. It shall have a continuous power rating of 800 watts (57 V rms), determined by an AES2-1984 noise test for two hours. Its nominal impedance shall be 4 ohms. Its free-field sensitivity, measured with a 2 V rms signal (i.e., 1 watt into 4 ohms) at 1 m distance, shall be 98 dB. The enclosure and its internal bracing shall be constructed of 11-ply 15 mm eucalyptus core plywood, finished in a textured paint waterborne finish (RAL 9011). The front grille shall be constructed of 16-gauge steel, powder coated also in RAL 9011 black. The grille shall be lined with acoustically transparent foam backing to enhance its appearance. The enclosure shall have an M20 threaded-insert pole attachment point on its top side. The enclosure shall feature eight integrated handles and may, as an option, be fitted with a kit of four casters on the rear panel. The subwoofer system’s inputs shall comprise two parallel NL4 Speakon connectors, with the subwoofer driver connected only to terminals 1+ and 1-, as well as a barrier strip with screw terminals. The subwoofer system enclosure shall measure 616 mm high (24.2 in) × 590 mm wide (23.2 in) × 605 mm deep (23.8 in) and shall have a net weight of 43 kg (95 lb). The subwoofer system shall be the QSC E18sw.
